Having recently begun painting again after many years, most of my current paintings are of scenes here in Maine. I paint plein air and also in the studio from photos I’ve taken out and about; often I’ll begin outdoors and finish in the studio from photos. I paint in both acrylics and oil, but mostly of late I’ve been painting in acrylics because they are easier to work with out of doors, and they dry faster… it seems I’ve become impatient.<\/p>\n

I love painting the\u00a0 Maine landscape, especially if it contains water.. as you will see… These are the 7 most recent paintings that I deem successful. There are many unfinished or gesso’d over paintings laying around the studio lol. These paintings are shown in the order in which they were created. You can see the changes as I’m re-finding my style after many years away from the easel.<\/p>\n
